Where can I legally get Windows Operating System CDs?

Hey guys, I'm looking to build my Windows OS CD collection and was wondering how can I legally get these disks. Right now as it stands I have only my two Windows 7 32-Bit Ultimate, and my Windows 7 64-Bit ultimate retail cds, but I'm looking for the rest of them starting from Windows XP which includes...

• Windows XP Starter Edition
• Windows XP Home Edition
• Windows XP Professional Edition
• Windows XP x64 Professional Edition
• Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
• Windows XP Media Center Edition
• Windows XP Media Center Edition 2003
• Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004
• Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
• Windows Vista 32-Bit (Ultimate configured to install all versions)
• Windows Vista 64-Bit (Ultimate configured to install all versions)

I know it's a long list but it would be greatly appreciated if you guys can help out here.

Join Microsoft Technet and get some of them. As a member you get 10 licences of each for testing purposes so I have a few in vms.

WOW! That's a list and a half. How far back does Microsoft go anyway? For example, when they drop support for XP, will the downloads go away too? Or can I download say- Windows 1.01 from them?

I didn't think that Microsoft TechNet would be so helpful and this is a definite push to join. I'll seriously consider gathering the funds to join.

The enhanced version of Technet gives you the cds, basic is just downloads. I think it is well worth it, lots of other software including Office.

Either that or if you plan to go do some studies again go somewhere they give an MSDNAA account.

I got all my isos that way, they have all the stuff you would see nowadays ( no 16-bits stuff tho =( ) + alot of softwares like office, visual studio, expression web... You only get 1 liscence but you can use the CD if the client has a valid key. Pretty handy if they lost it (which happens 99% of the time).

yea i have technet for the post xp stuff. But I searched around the net and found a windows xp 9 in 1 disk that has retail and oem versions of all xp on it. I dont think any of it is 64 bit, but you rarely see 64 bit version of xp on a machine anyway. I have used this disk for years when doing an install and have not had any problems.

Some of those CD's you have no other choice then to burn a copy or get a torrent copy. There is nothing illegal about downloading a torrent of the original CD as long as you install it with a genuine license. I get almost 100% of my CD's from btjunkie.

Some you will have no other choice. Like MCE 2003, good luck finding that one on physical media.

You can also join the Microsoft Partner network. As a Microsoft Solutions partner I have access to an ISO download for virtually every piece of software I could need.

I was wondering the same thing, my Pro subscription is about to expire. It would take me forever to download/burn everything, if they truly send you media for everything it might be worth paying the higher costs for one year to get a set and then keep it updated myself from there.
