Pixel OS released for PC/Mac

The raspberry pi people have just released a beta of their Pixel OS for PC/Mac computers. Given how smoothly it ran on the raspberry pi 3 I was intrigued to see how well it performed with a virtual machine and I must say it's zinging! I turned away and a few second later it was loaded up. Quick, responsive and just generally feeling well polished all round.

Going to give it a run on a USB install with persistence soon and see how she fares but this could be my new go to portable Linux OS.

I'm curious about repositories supporting it? A polished desktop is a good first step but it is all about the tools and toys behind the OS.

My personal computer from the moment I hit the power button until the desktop is up (Windows 10 Pro) takes about 10 seconds.

Anyhow, I'm currently downloading the iso (1.3gb) and it will take, cough.. 54 minutes. And I'm on a gigabit connection.
