Guys, 16k has already explained that this is a 32-bit Windows application. DosBox is not a sensible suggestion.
To be honest...nobody here knows the details...
The OP mentioned it was an app from 1995. As many of us that worked in IT back in the Win9X days recall....lots of apps were 16 bit. The OP did "say" it was 32 bit...but do we know for sure? Perhaps he is in error with that claim?
We don't know any further details of the issue he is having. Is it flat out not installing? Or...did it actually appear to install..but it's having some issue running? Does it even open up? Since we don't know if the issue is from the installation or not, offering the tip to try DosBox may very well work for him...since even with some applications in the Win9X days being 32 bit..the installers were often still just 16 bit. In which case...the 5 minutes it takes to download DosBox...install it, and drag the install/setup file into the box to see if it install fine may be worth the OPs time.
I've used DosBox successfully many times to simply get a stubborn legacy app to install in a more current generation of Winders....and then it runs fine from there in compat mode.
