iCloud failed PC installer on Windows 8.1

2 1/2 hours later
Customer wants to install iCloud on his brand new Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro (windows 8.1)

The installation appears to go through and then get error message "There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor"

It then rolls back.

I have tried everything I can think of including installing it on the machine after reinstalling windows.
iTunes installs and works fine!

Any ideas? Pleeeasse?
I have done a google search but wasn't helpful in this case. hmmmm

What about trying to run it with compatibility mode enabled after the install finishes?

In addition to the above did you try running the installer as admin, right click> run as administrator

Customer now also having issues installing Vivofit.

He wants me to come back tomorrow, but I am really at a loss! There is a bit on apple forums about the icloud issue, but the solution offered works for some, not others... and not us!

I am wondering if there is some Lenovo feature causing the problem.
