Side note: That bolded section is a joke (or a lie, whatever). If all men were created equal, then everybody would have the same access to health care and education but they don't. The poor and ill are swept aside.

Another side note: The gun nuts love to talk about their 2nd Amendment rights but that was to allow the citizenry as members of an organized militia to stand in defence of their nation.

If I am not mistaken Canada still kisses the @$$ of the crown. No disrespect to her Majesty intended but talk about holding onto ancient ideologies.

All men ARE created equal but it is how we AS MEN treat each other that sweep aside those less fortunate, or segregate and dehumanize.

It was actually to defend against tyranical government and indian attacks after the crown was evicted forcibly. The organized militia you speak of was not even founded until 1903, which includes the nation guard and reserves. What the 2nd amendment was created around was the unorganized militia which included all free able-bodied white male citizens between the ages of 18 and 45.

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Notice that it says "the people" and not "the Military". How you construe this to be a military purpose is beyond me.

So YOU say the constitution our nation is founded on (ancient parchment) needs to be destroyed and then say we are destroying ourselves. How completely hypocritical!

I don't think I will give up my guns because someone NOT in our country is saying I don't need them. In fact, why don't you try moving closer to the other border like I am and see if you think you don't need any guns.

Or put up a sign that says, "This home is proudly gun-free"... Oh, wait because EVERY home in your country is gun-free...

I cannot even imagine what it must be like to be defenseless at home.:eek:

In the texas campus? Was two kids having a one on one fight against each other, no automatic weapons...just some punks living up the sideways held pistols "gangsta style". Haven't read any fatalities from it...3 wounded...1 of which was one of the shooters, another was a heart attack from a nearby, 3rd.....dunno, probably someone that took indirect fire.

I believe not....so far, so good. Hopefully the heart attack bystander will be OK, and the other bystander (I'm guessing the 3rd wounded one was a background bystander that count an errand round).

Wouldn't mind if one of the shooters was dead...gotta leave this stuff out of the schools. Don't need some copy-cat crazes going on.

I am glad the BBC actually waits for facts to emerge. Unlike our media here who like to keep things going and get everyone at each others throats. I don't think there would be nearly as many of these shootings if they weren't publicised so much.

They covered the funerals for a week and talked about the shooter constantly. I say don't release the killers name and be very short on details. The more coverage, the more "fame" these criminals will get.

Better yet, put up bigger "GUN FREE ZONE" signs. Evidently they are not being seen. Oh wait, criminals don't obey those signs and that is why so many innocents die. The innocents are law abiding citizens led to a criminal empowerment zone.

They must have known that there was explosives in that building as well. All controlled demolition. I did a you tube search for building colapses and found none that went straight down on themselves. Only controlled demolitions do this.

Don't get me going on conspiracy theories. :eek: The Newtown shooter wore earplugs to protect his hearing why? I mean come on, if he was going to kill himself why does he need his hearing? What about the other two people running from the scene who were chased and handcuffed by police. Or the initial report of two shooters. How about a donation website for the victims that Google listed as cached a day or so BEFORE the shooting even happened.
 
I'm sure this will re-enforce some peoples views of seeing Americans as being "gun nuts" and "Yosemite Sams"....lol.

This is happening around gun shops all over the place....they're packed lately! Parking lots filled...not with old rusty redneck pickup trucks as I'm sure someone here envisions such evil Americans as being like...but filled with typical family car types, as good law abiding citizens wish to get a last chance at their current rights. Before laws change.

The guy that we have do our wiring jobs....one of his side jobs is a pistol instructor, and he says his upcoming classes to get pistol permits are all filled for the next 2 months.
