When scouring the web looking for an Admin/Master password for a Dell Vostro (using any other method of resetting the bios wasn't working) I stumbled upon a website that specializes in master passwords for only a $10 donation (via paypal). If the pw they give you doesn't work they refund your donation. Saturday afternoon 4:30pm is when I submitted for the password, they responded in 30 minutes. (It worked for those questioning)

Here is the link http://www.mastermindit.biz/

Just thought I would share with the masses. I hope this helps.

I'm not a total noob, I've done my research into BIOS resets, I know about the back-door password lists, key combos battery pulls, shorting pins, changing the jumper. This laptop from the research I looked up didn't seem to have any way around it, I tried the back-door passwords, the battery pull (including the cmos/bios) and still the admin password wouldn't go away. Googling the password that was provided from the service doesn't even show up online.

Okey so Ive probably worked with over 400 machines and Ive never come acrossed a single one which had a bios password? Is this something only americans use? :D

Okay, why not just donate after you get the password and see if it works? If your going to donate, it seems stupid to give it to them before trying out their service, then expecting a refund of the donation if it doesn't work. That's if you even want to donate.

I didn't bother looking at the website, so I might just be misunderstanding you. But if they require you to give them money before they will provide their service or product, then it is not a donation. This is called payment.

Its not a donation if you have to wait to see the product after you pay, you technically bought the service, and they can technically get in trouble by law for saying its FREE, and making you pay.

I love google maps that made my day. Google their name and see all the crap that pulls up it looks like they post random problems in different sites and throw their name in the post giving credit for it.

Just tell me what is wrong with this whole page and the sites from Google when you search their name.

BTW OP Good find not downing you but, there are free ways around this, and you did find one, I kinda feel bad you lost $10. Just be happy you didnt get it from ebay for $30 :D

aww... just make it a payment instead of "donation".
I find that pulling out the battery for a few minutes while you still working around the PC's innards would do just the trick.
BIOS passwords seem to be a thing for pranks at publicly accessible PCs.
