So some new guy asks a slightly broad question. Do we really need 2 pages of sarcastic replies? That doesn't seem like the most constructive way of dealing with anything.
If you think the OP is a non-tech then why not just ask politely to check, refuse to help making the grounds clear or just ignore the question. There is no need or benefit to a mob forming. I think it just makes the forum look like an unfriendly and snide place myself.
I am 100% up for excluding non-techs from most parts of the forum but there are ways of doing it that I personally prefer.
