I have tried to delete the W61 and W61-x64 directories but this doesn't resolve it. I can't find where any kind of database is kept for this. There must be something but I don't know where it is. If I turn off the Windows 7 updates the process completes normally but of course has skipped the Win 7 updates making this pretty useless. I really don't want to nuke the stack and start over as that would take about 8 hours to complete.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is it still deploying the already-downloaded updates to clients? If so, I'd just deal with it for today and then nuke the stack and re-download overnight. Yeah, it might take 8 hours, but that's 8 unattended hours versus how much time have/would you spend trying to repair it?

Call this solved. Nuked it. 8 hours later back up and running. File structure of the repository is different. Might be the reason this quit working.

I am trying to run updategenerator.exe and I keep getting an error. Error downloading / verifying updates for w61-x64 glb. Would you like to view the log file now? I have deleted and downloaded 10.6.2 and I am getting the same error. I tried running it on different computers. anyone else getting this?

See @nlinecomputer's post above. I've had this happen too where, for some reason, WSUSOffline gives an error while downloading. In the past, I spent quite some time trying to isolate the error. Now I just erase the entire folder and re-do it from scratch. Takes a while to repopulate the whole thing, but everything's fine in the end.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have deleted the entire wsusoffline1062 folder and re-downloaded the wsusoffline1062.zip file, extracted it again and tried to run the update from the beginning and I still get the same error. I have also tried on two other workstations that never had wsusoffline on it and I get the same error. when you say, I just erase the entire folder and re-do it from scratch. Takes a while to repopulate the whole thing, but everything's fine in the end.
is what I am describing what you do too? if so its not working for me. thanks

well I booted in safe mode with networking and its running fine so apparently something is blocking it in normal mode. thanks

I've been getting errors trying to update, too, and Googled the error mesage in the CMD window (..\dotnet\NDP452-KB2901907-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe: No match hashdeep64.exe: Audit failed) and found my solution here:
Please delete .\client\md\hashes-dotnet.txt and restart the download.
That got me past that error but now it's stopped on another one:
..\win\glb\directx_Jun2010_redist.exe: No match
..\win\glb\capicom-kb931906-v2102_5891b5de8ce331dc998656e20f1ce0b795e88786.exe: No match
..\win\glb\rootsupd.exe: No match
..\win\glb\rvkroots.exe: No match
hashdeep64.exe: Audit failed
I don't see relevant entries in the hashes folder so need to research this error.

All to say, try deleting the relevant items in the hash folder, if they are obvious, and try again. Failing that, try Googling the error lines in the CMD window.
