ugh, i had this not to long ago...and I cannot for the life of me remember what I did. But im scanning through my notes...hope to find it for you.

Is there "Other Devices" in Device Manager? If so what is listed.

You probably installed the wrong driver. Anytime I have to d/l wireless drivers from Dell...There is always several different drivers to choose from. Sometimes it's a guessing game. Or if you are lucky sometimes you can click on the driver and see exactly what it is used for.

Isolate the problem by trying ubuntu. If it works then it's the drive, if it doesn't work then it's the wireless card.

Next time backup the drivers before N&P. You should have a list of tasks to do before N&P

What is the model of the laptop. And can you use SIW or another sys info tool to identify the wireless card? Did the computer have Win 7 on it prior, or did the customer also upgrade at the same time?

Have you downloaded the driver from the website, and reinstalled it to see if that would work?
