Who Is Using Ultimate Tech Site Kit?

http://theultimatetechsite.com/

Now that it's out of beta, who is actually using it? Mind sharing your site's URL as an example of a real-world application? I think $130 is a killer deal + 25% off PCRT (which I've been thinking about using). Anyone using both and find things better/worse?

Jim has put together a great package!

I'm now using the same Zen theme and he has integrated it with my existing site. I couldn't be happier. Very SEO friendly and customizable and pretty easy to use. Although it may look different than some of the themes on the UTS, it's the same on the back end. The end product yields better SEO then some of the image based packages I looked at in the past. I highly recommend it for those in need of a website.

I just been browsing your site, because I am thinking about looking at something like this or Wordpress, and I thought you might want to know that your site randomly closes the browser, no error messages, no not responding, just closes the browser, IE8. I have also tested it on a customers PC too, which is XP SP3, Kaspersky, IE8 and when just browsing clicking on your links, it closes the browser, but seems to be intermittent.

Thought you would want to know.

Also do you have option to edit Meta Tags, I noticed you have no Description Meta tag?

Thanks

PS Just to let you know I browsed other sites striaght afterwards and no issues with theirs.

I used it, really brought my website to another level as opposed to what i was using previously, very happy with what it has allowed me to do. Though I still have some things to do on it yet.

by the way can anyone tell me how to get a meta tag of my sites discription up on google using word press, i cant for the life of me get a short discription to post with the website when listed in google, any help would be appreciated!

From zero rank, I had page 1 google for "virus removal lafayette" within 2 weeks of implementing ZEN on HubCity's site. I hope this settles any qualms about the System's SEO ability.

I have not seen the ie8 issue with the Zen theme and suspect it could be a WP Plugin specific to this installation causing the browser behaviour you describe. Thanks for alerting us to it, I will look further at it and see whats going on.

For anyone looking for another example of ZEN, please see Martyn's site http://hobit.co.uk

For a completely different example, theultimatetechsite is also built using ZEN (yes, its that flexible).

I see you create a folder too within the page ubcitypc.com/virus-removal-lafayette, never thought about doing that. I will have a look at that sometime, nice tip.

Thanks

Yeah the browser shutdown issue does look like with WordPress Theme "suspect it could be a WP Plugin specific to this installation causing the browser " because Calishead Computers does the same, I have now tried it on three computers all the same.

Thanks

What page is it that causes the browser shutdown?

The additional plugins I have on my site are

all in 1 seo pack
google analytics
collision testimonials
tiny mce advanced
grunion contact form
visitor stats

I presume the developer is working on it now, because it does actually cause an error message now, before closing the browser. It was virtually any link on your pages, but this message came up when i clicked on one of your top row links. Also did the same on another PC. Sorry not got time to test it out on more PCs.

"Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 8.0.6001.18702, faulting module mshtml.dll, version 8.0.6001.19088, fault address 0x000678d8.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

Thanks

PS please note been browsing loads of sites and no issues at all, it is just yours and the other zen theme.

Hmm.. Thanks for that Jamie. I have tested it on pc's here in the workshop, and clients, and have not come across any errors.

Thanks for letting me know :)

Sorry not got more time to help you out with this, just tested and it is still unreliable in normal IE8, but just tried IE7 compatibility no issue at all (tried IE7 compatibility on two PCs and both okay, apart from 404 pages on your site

"Not Found
The requested URL /wp/blog was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Thanks

PS They are both using Java 7, but I not had any issue with any other websites with the latest Jave.

Looks great! I sent you a PM with a question, I am also interested in the ZEN theme. The two site done in it are awesome!

We are looking into the IE8 issue identified above. Working on it NOW.

Interesting that this got through all of the beta tests and full site builds without being noticed. Will post an update here and inthe members area as soon as its resolved.

Thank you for completely hijacking this thread. lol

Actually, thanks for the feedback and example sites.

Sorry for "hijacking", I was reading the thread, really like the sites, apart from the potential issue, and thought i better post something to let the site owners and developer know, the developer has now posted he is working on it.

As far as SEO claims, no matter what tools you use and no matter what they promise you, you WILL not come up high in search right off the bat even if you implement the best SEO practice.

It will take time and Google will look at your domain age and other factors before they start ranking you. Don't get suckered into these promises of SEO magic.

The age of a domain in respects to SEO is is pretty much a myth.

I used it and I think Jim has put together a great package. With the Ultimate Tech Site, anyone can build a professional looking website. The included help videos walk you through from the begining to the end. Everything is well laid out for you to follow along.

I have not encountered the IE 8 problem yet with any of the other sites or while testing mine.

www.computronics2004.com, It is nowhere near finished, I am working on it in my free time.
