Unusual problem with WPV

What I want back is Microsoft Photo Editor. It had the easiest way of dealing with creating transparency that I've ever seen, and it worked incredibly well.

I've been using FastStone Image Viewer for some years now as my default photo viewer. Never cared for the Win10 Photo app.
 
Time to move on as the program is broken and isn’t gonna get fixed.
The fact that any picture before 20th Dec and some after that date work fine is weird.
It also works perfectly on any other Windows PC I have.


Did you see the link below @Barcelona. As @nlinecomputers said it's deprecated. But, as always, someone's figured out some reg hack so maybe that'll fix the error messages.

Tried this and 20 other "fixes" but none have made any difference.

I could build another custom .iso but its a lot of trouble for an image viewer.

I think the best thing to do is just use ImageGlass or Nomacs as the default picture viewer. They're fast, free and portable.
