I have 3 monitors, 2560x1440 resolution. . I have 2 geforce 680's the only way I seem to be able to do maximum 3D performance is via 2x DVI and a display port to DVI adapter that uses additional usb power to do 2560x1440. The problem is once I connect this DVI adapter I lose aero interface and screenconnect shows funky colors on the additional displays so its kind of useless to me. You can use additional plugs in the 2nd video card when its set to "Maximize 3D performance."
Whats another method I can use to connect the 3rd monitor? Would I be able to buy some sort of pci express x1 video card and put that in to power the 3rd monitor? I am not trying to do Nvidia Surround (performance isnt high enough for my taste) and im not trying to do "Activate all displays" although activate all displays does work the frame rate is still not as good as "Maximize 3D performance"
Its important to note that this would not be a problem at 1080p resolution as I could just use a hdmi to dvi adapter and i think that would work just fine but thats not my situation.
