After busting my fingernails for many a year I'm looking for a tool to separate press/click fit components like laptop decks.
I've been through a few online suppliers that I use without success.
If you can point me to a supplier of a decent spudge (what a great name for a tool) I'd appreciate it.
The design which looks to me to be the ideal has a short handle and the wedge/prizing end at 90 degrees to the handle.
I'm also open to suggestions from seasoned spudgers if you have a better suggestion or alternative tools for similar applications.

go to ebay and look up the iphone opening tools and you should find some you like.
ifixit.com has a metal spudger that should also work for you.

otherwise sometimes I use a guitar pick.

I use Case Opening Pry Tools a bit like this

I've tried various tools but the one I find myself using is just a plastic knife from an Ikea picnic cutlery set. It's made out of soft plastic so it never marks anything.

but you must only use Dunlop premium nylon medium gauge non-scratching tapered-edge teflon coated signed-by-Joe-Satriani Canadian made guitar picks, all the other one's will simply not work properly.
