[SOLVED] Thinking of upgrading to ScreenConnect 6? DONT!

What a f**king mess! Keyboard mapping almost completely broken on Mac->Mac. Mac->PC almost as bad. Very slow/sluggish performance. It's basically unusable and now I need to downgrade back to version 5. I do not recommend that anyone do this update. If your support is up, DO NOT PAY TO UPGRADE, like me, or you will be disappointed.

I upgraded last week and have not had any issues. Speed is fine hosted on win server) and pc to pc keyboard mapping is fine. I do not use Macs so the issues may be central to that?

Interesting to hear. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a Mac issue. The Mac support has never been great, but it's been usable. Now, it's not.

I was about to renew our license to get a the latest version, stuck on 5.4 at the moment, but might wait until they release a few more updates for v6.

5.4 will have issues with win10 anniversary update. It shows a black screen and mouse pointer only. Upgrade fixes it. That is what prompted me to upgrade last week

Yea that's the problem we are having now. You can work around it by blanking the guest monitor then your screen will become active.

Yup ours is broken too, I've emailed RS about it.

I just completed the upgrade yesterday and I've had no problems... yet!

I upgraded to the latest 5.X release and that fixed the Win 10 Anniv update......

Im on v6 now it fixed my blank screen issue.

Performance is ok but only issue i have is general session info is blank where it shows system info of pc.

Same problem here. Just upgraded to v6, now info panel is blank. I used to be able to see a screen shot of the Access computers and system info, now nothing. Also can't see anything on the timeline.

Hey i fixed my Screen Connect issue - Check your Extensions you have added - i had some unsupported extensions for version 6 so once i removed them its good as gold now.

Check your extensions are up to date or remove unsupported ones - then see how it performs.

I went the N&P route. Full uninstall of Screenconnect and reinstall. Now it works but I lost the few unattended computers I had setup so I have to set them up again. Also had to tweak the web.config slightly again to my liking.
I'll keep your suggestion in mind for next time. Don't want to go through this again. Thanks.
