i liked a lot of the new people but no one liked me back been a couple weeks... the whole point of the thread is to share likes. Just a friendly reminder

Great idea, here's a link to my website, where there is a facebook like button on the right hand side of the page for my company facebook page:

http://www.pcoverhaul.com/

And my actual facebook is here: http://www.facebook.com/pcoverhaulnorwood

I am catching up on the rest of the thread and will return the favor to anyone who likes me. Hoping to get a google + button up soon as well.

Phew... Just went through all 8 pages and I think I got everyone. If I missed you, please send me a message and I'll take care of it! If you see a like from RockIT Oxford on Facebook, well, that's me! Hit me back!

Might be worth reminding folks here that having a profile for your business is against FB's terms and conditions and is cause for them to remove your profile.
Businesses may have Pages, not Profiles.

If your business can be "friended", don't be shocked if your business is missing some day.

Yep! I do have 2 personal profiles though... just to keep one solely for customers/folks I don't want to have access to my daily musings :p

my business page is www.facebook.com/SprinterTech

I think it would be a good idea to like each others status updates on Facebook and other sites. One thing I've noticed on my own pages is that once you get a few likes or comments, people are more likely to interact with the status.

So, like my updates and I'll like yours! :D

I like this move...it goes beyond just liking our pages and then forgetting about it (lol).

This will be a good incentive to keep my FB page and tweets fresh.

Actually, Preston/RockIT, yours is one of the ones that is in violation of the FB terms. It's a profile, not a page. You'd be wiser to scrap it and start a legitimate page for your business while it's still young. This way, when FB gets around to cleaning house, you won't have hundreds of 'friends' seeing your business go poof.

And your link in post 70 is dead. I found you at
https://www.facebook.com/computerrepairoxfordms

I know about this but choose to do it anyway. :D. Before starting my business, I was in a band and we did the same thing. We must have lost 3 pages but not until we got several thousand friends on each one. We turned a good bit of those friends into likes on our actual page.

If I lose one, I'll just start another. I'll still have my actual business page (http://www.facebook.com/RockITcomputerSolutions) and I've never had issues with those being removed.

It's also against FB's terms to have your phone number on your business timeline photo. I guess I just like living on the edge.

Thanks for the info about the dead link. I'll go fix it!
