A customer's iTunes is broken.
Issue: The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannotn be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.
Tried the following:
1) Moved iTunes Library.itl out of iTunes folder and restarted iTunes.
2) Plugged in ipod, canceled sync and
2a) Transferred purchased items.
3) Still receiving message The iPod is synced with another computer, do you want to erase this ipod?
4) Looking to keep playlists and general ipod structure intact.
How do I do this?
5) Tried to Register an Apple ID to ask this question on Apple Support forum and received message.
""An unexpected error has occurred. Please note the exception listed below and try again. PageNotFound: No mapping found for HTTP request with this URI""
6) Called Apple support and they said they can't help me since I don't actually own an Apple product. They also said they haven't heard of anyone else having trouble registering Apple ID's.
7) Still stuck with original problem and an Apple ID that's stuck in limbo, with no Apple support. Can't even ask for password with out an error.
