Reasonable Remote Support Software

Greetings:

I realize this has been covered on and off in regards to different posts but I was curious what you recommend for a "reasonable" fee for remote software that connects quick, not much user intervention for installing software, allows to log off and reboot along with reconnect. Our current work load is limited to after 5pm and weekends at this time.

I have utilized crossloop (free version) it seems it takes forever to connect to client. I thought about the Pro version but was concerned it's performance would be similar to the free version.

Finally, if anyone has tested or implemented; it would be nice to be able to connect to someone's PC through a Droid phone. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks,

I've been using SCVNC for the connection and, if a reconnect is needed, will use TeamviewerQS just for that (Edit: and through it re-run SCVNC). I've got a Crossloop Pro account but would rather not have to have the customer enter anything; just click to start and SCVNC finds me.

I don't perform much remote support, but I'm using Mikogo. I have a link on my site for people to "use when directed for remote support" that takes them to the proper Mikogo page, then I instruct them from there. It works well for my needs, and is free for commercial use.

I have been a proud crossloop user for years but have been testing this ShowMyPc free product and it works quite well:

Seems to use a similar VNC backend as Crossloop but they dont lock the advanced features (namely file sharing).

Anyone ever tried Zoho's Assist product? I am fairly tied into Zoho with my company's finances and their helpdesk features, and wouldn't mind adding this to my slate with them if it works.

vdub thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll stick to Crossloop/showmypc/logmein when needed for now.

TeamViewer is pretty decent but has a lot more setup involved, although it does work well too.

Teamviewer, it has a nice dashboard which allows for one click connections to clients pcs. Think of it as being an IT for an office, except no office, just peoples houses.

We have been using LogMeIn Free version and RemotePC. I have in the past used LogMeIn paid version it works out to be very expensive. However, of all the remote software I have used, I would say logmein is by far the best.

I have tested TeamViewer and really like it but the cost is a little more than I'm willing to part with at this point.

Crossloop free edition works ok but it seems using the pro version, clients are directed to a crossloop portal where you have a profile and so do hundreds of others technicians.

I use the free version of Teamviewer, since I don't use it that often. Most of my customers come to my shop when they need repairs, like I said, I only use Teamviewer if it's a quick fix, which is seldom.

Have any of you tried Bomgar?

It has been mentioned before. Its pricy upfront but you own the appliance which will let you do pretty much anything you want.

Have owned the Bomgar B100 for a few years now. I have tried all the others and the Bomgar is outstanding for everything we do. The capabilities are great and they are continually improving on it. Yes, pricy up front but to me well worth it.

I currently use LogMeIn Rescue and am happy with the features. I would like to find something a little less expensive that does all the same tasks. Has anyone tried GoToAssist Express? It looks like it is half the price of Gombar and LogMeIn Rescue.
