Question about dress

Now that is getting cooler weather, what do you guys wear to the job-site? Being that I am a mobile tech I dress in a short sleeve polo shirt and khakis. However its getting a bit chilly for short sleeves now. Any ideas, thoughts or examples?

First, what ever you feel comfortable in. It is hard to beat khakis pants all year around for professional looks, comfort and cost. They go with formal black shoes or sneakers.

Second, shirts, I get 4 at a time embroidered and I have gotten everything from long sleeve cotton/mix poli button ups, polos, short sleeve cottons. I have even bought close out shirts at Dillards/JCpenneys for $5 each and took them to my embroiderer and paid him $5 each to put my logo on them.

Third, you can wear short sleeve all year around, doesn't look out of place but get a members only type jacket and or heavier. when you get to clients you are going to be in controlled airspace regardless.

So no need to change shirts, just a matter of what you like.

I've been doing this awhile so about 75% of all my clothes are logo-ed uniform shirts. I have some casual and some more formal, some read, green, khaki colored. So I wear something different every day but it always has a logo on it.

I went on a date last night to Bonefish grill, while there I realized I was wearing my Italian knit shirt (with logo). So I guess I wear them everywhere except church or weddings and funerals.

Cheers.

We all have nice golf shirts and wear them year round. I make sure that my staff and I wear logo'd jackets if we go on site. We're still a step ahead of the competition like this.

Since I have tattoos I wear a long sleeve button down shirt with jeans and dress shoes. Everything must be pressed, jeans included. I just like the polished business casual look personally. Also, if I am on a call and get dirty I carry a backup shirt in the truck.

I live in Southern California, in the desert so our apparel is a little more relaxed than even Texas.

Usual work clothes:
Dickies work shorts, black dickies short sleeve shirt, a black hat, and a nice pair of DC shoes.
In the winter, I move to Dickies work pants, I used to wear professional/business type clothes, but some customers were afraid that we'd charge business prices. I loosened up my clothing look, prices have stayed the same but customers don't seem to cringe as much when I had my business clothes on, when I have them the total.

i am in a proces of acquiring a uniform for my part-time business...was thinking of a purple mankini. but then again, maybe not, in our job we do a lot of bending. :o:o:o

seriously, i am thinking of a black or navy polo shirt, black trousers and black shoes. for winter, i would wear the same but with fleece. polo shirt and fleece will have logos. maybe an ID hanging on my neck.

I just wear Black Smart Shoes, Black trousers and a short sleeved Red Black and White polo Shirt (company logo Colours) with my company name, my name, phone number and email address embroidered.

I have just bought a couple of sweatshirts all embroidered with my company details as the weather is starting to drop down

and as extra, extra warmth I have a company branded fleece as well, - im not getting cold if the winter is as bad as last year :)

i always wear khaki pants to the job site. last couple trips out i have also worn a nike dri-fit hoodie with my alma mater's logo embroidered on it. i am seriously thinking about getting a similar hoodie with my company logo on it.

Well. I work at home now so it's underwear and a T:) No, usually sweats and a T. But every place I've worked at forever has been business casual. Dockers and polo shirts. I haven't had to wear a tie since the early 90's.

Seeing as i'm mostly workshop based, its t'shirts and sweatshirts, together with jeans and workboots for me.

If it's a call out, then its nice pair of jeans, and a polo neck t'shirt logo'd, together with the boots.

I really should smarten myself up, but haven't dared to do a job wearing a Sex Pistols t-shirt or a Guns and Roses one yet!

Its now getting so cold that I am having to wear my old scruffy jumpers. I do often try and wear a shirt for call outs though.
