Advanced IP Scanner is pretty useful for quick birds eye views...

As with most things, make sure you download this from the real source. There were some seo-poisoning issues last year where compromised versions were discovered. I switched to AngryIP scanner at that time, but I much prefer Advanced.

NMAP is the grandaddy of them all. Runs on all OS's for regular computers. But if you don't know what your doing you might find it difficult to interpret or understand. Personally I use insecure.org for tool recommendations and download links

I cut my teeth on Angry IP Scanner decades ago... but switched to Advanced IP a few years ago when apparently every AV on Earth decided Angry was evil; blocking and deleting it whenever I tried to download or use it. I remember 'The Dude' as well... but never really adopted it.
