Client updated the iPrint & Scan software and the button to scan stopped working. I managed to get it to work again but the scan to email opens Outlook and he uses Thunderbird. When I go into the iPrint and Scan settings it only lists Outlook as an option in the dropdown.

Any ideas how to get Thunderbird to be in the list of options?

Thanks!

Be certain he's not using Thunderbird portable, for starters.

When trying to assign the email client, is there not an option to browse to a specific location? It's been ages since I last dealt with iPrint & Scan, but I thought it had some sort of "none of the above" option that allowed you to go out and pick a specific program from a specific location on the machine.

He's using the full installed Thunderbird and it was working fine before he updated the iprint and scan software. I also checked that it is the default email client in Windows.

For whatever reason the drop down to choose the email client only lists Outlook.

Did you try a registry search, maybe something like HKLM/Software/Brother, for a reference to Brother + Outlook?
