Mint 18.2 Update / Upgrade

Im still on 18.1
No reason really to upgrade yet. I will after a bit make the jump to 18.3 though. For me, Everything works just fine and lovin the new rig running linux.

Most of the time the only reason I upgrade is because I need a newer version of some library to run a program or some other dependency issue.

Just finished a massive round of 'Codename Cure' on steam with a friend in England. Man! We played for about 2 hours on this darn thing. My RX480 and my Ryzen handled everything like a real champ :)

I had trouble trying to play in single player mode. Game wouldn't open. Don't know if its a bug or glitch or they forgot to include that option?
I wish Steam would introduce a refund policy! :(

Codename Cure is free on steam.

What kind of problem where you having? Perhaps some more info on your hardware would help.

Post the output of this command and lets see what you have hardware wise:

I did a full cleaning of my computer last weekend - was full of cat hair and a lot of dust. Now it no longer buzzes and "meows" at me. Just kidding about the meowing...

..just in case anyone is interested.

Just wanted to post my specs on my system if anyone is also interested. Im pretty much up to date on everything but I really do hesitate on the upgrade as I really have a lot going on and do not want to lose it if it screws up. I have had that happen in the past and I cannot afford to be down.

The 18.3 (Mate Desktop) Changes and additions can be read about on the Linux Mint Blog:
https://www.linuxmint.com/rel_sylvia_mate_whatsnew.php

Also how to do the upgrade right:
https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3462

I didn't really expect it to be so. Do you like the changes or have any other comments about it (yet)?
I didn't really notice any "cosmetic" changes and everything looks feels the same as it did. I haven't had time to read what changes there are yet. :)

/facepalm...I saw on Steam where it said "single player" but they obviously lied!

If only there was some way to get backup and running after a botched update. Like with redecorating your walls with new paintings. You take your original down and install the new one, but if you don't like it then you put the original image backup.

Run 'Back in Time' before the upgrade. Thats the suggested option before you upgrade your system. Of course, If your graphics fails for some odd reason then it might be problematic.
