Windows 10 forcing driver update is conflicting with Nvidia's driver system. Computer runs for a while in a normal state but then suddenly black screen or in my case 3 monitors 2 of them are blank but one there is no mouse is moving just the picture. After rebooting system everything comes back alive.

Here is how to work around:

Obviously if there no mouse moving or working keyboard there is no option but to shutdown your system by either holding power button or unplugging power cable.

Hiw to fix this issue:

Microsoft forcing updates for nvidia video card that keeps crashing your system.

1. You can either download the necessary Nvidia driver-fix via Windows Update by installing package KB3073930 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930. How to temporarily prevent windows or driver update.

2. Or manually download drivers from http://www.geforce.com/drivers
Manual Driver Search section and enter your configuration and click Search
Download the latest Nvidia drivers (v353.62) release date of 29 July
Once driver download completes, run driver installation as administrator.
Reboot your system after installation is complete.

I hope this helps and if you have any questions please let me know.

Very nice, ive have seen this happen on a few machines already. Would come back to it and the monitor is on, but just a black screen.

I have been Microsoft pushing the Nvidia drivers. I hide the updates and get them directly from Nvidia website.
