How powerful is your test bench computer?

We just run some HP DC5100 or DC5600 series mini towers.....biz grade workstations. Side panel off. Just running XP on 'em, and old Pentium 4 H/T vintage....yup...Pentium Northwood hyperthreads. 2 gigs-o-rammage.

We use them for copying files, imaging, scans, etc. Limited by drive speed and the drive bus.....not by CPU.

Similar here. P4 H/T in a full tower with the panel off and guts hanging out, 1.5GB. Got plenty of SATA and IDE connectors on the motherboard. Runs a light and fast linux distro.

I use this type because of space saving and easy access to components. I kind of modified the design for my 2 kvm's. It is good with a i dont know how many inches flat top desk that I received from a store that was going out of business.
