I've seen Roy on U.S. Movies/TV but I can't remember from where. Romantic comedy I think.

While I loved IT Crowd, it's as much "IT-related" as CSI is.

The guy who played Roy was in that awful Gulliver's Travels remake last year. He also did a time-travel comedy before that which was quite good.

but attack of the show is about as tech relatd as you get now a days on g4

When it was Tech TV I liked to watch the show "Portal" I think it was. I was just getting over an obsession with the original Asheron's Call at the time... guess they aren't IT related either...

Roy (Chris O'Dowd) was in Bridesmaids most recently. That was sort of a romantic comedy.

By the way, I agree, it was a very funny show. I own all 4 seasons.

Code Monkeys. Its a show from a few years back on G4 that was animated to look like an old 8bit video game. A little offensive, but very funny.

- two shows that come to mind where the american adaptation was pitch perfect. (My humble opinion)

Im not arguing the case that sometimes they get it woefully wrong*, just that sometimes they do produce gems based on UK shows.

*apparently they tried to make a series based on Fawlty Towers, Chateau Snavely, 'ambitious' to say the least! - (it lasted one episode)
