I have decided myself not to bother going down this road, in fact I am moving away from PCs and laptops so I will continue to outsource.

Doing an adult teaching course in the new year (hopefully) so I am hoping to move into that area, not sure if I will try and get a part time job with it, or move my business into the area, I do a bit of home tuition so I could try and advertise that side of things more.

Adult teaching? Computer classes for adults or are you saying a class to make you a better instructor? Home tuition? Is that in home tutoring? Thanks.

Its a legal minumum qualification you need to teach adults of any official description in the UK. You can still teach privatly etc.

My idea is I may be able to get more home tuition work if I said I was a qualified adult teacher on my website, qualilfied is stretching it a bit though its a ten week course not a degree (although I do have a degree).

I was thinking of teaching key skills and basic IT use in colleges, or even more advanced stuff such as basic programming etc.

As most adult lecturers work very part time, sometimes just 3-4 hours a week it would fit perfectly with my current job. I want to buy a house in the next few years so this is important.

Sorry to off topic, but it does sort fit in the subject, there is often better things you can with your time than learning a skill like soldering on something which will become throw away anyway.
