Wow. I had been thinking about getting into AnyDesk, until I noticed a massive price increase. Wowzers. The 'FlexPlan' prices now are higher than the pay-and-forget options before...

Anyone know when this happened and their reasoning for such a drastic jump?

Edit: Not only to mention the little disclaimer "All prices are introductory prices." ...

I don't know when their prices changed, but the archive.org snapshot of their pricing page from February of this year does show lower prices (but not MASSIVELY lower). And all prices being introductory prices isn't particularly concerning. With any service like that, unless you buy a lifetime license (like Anydesk's "pay and forget") you're at risk of price increases (Logmein?). Even with lifetime licenses, they'll find other ways to force you to upgrade (Teamviewer?)

Nevertheless, their overall pricing is still very good. But then again, their "Lite" plan is perfectly fine for me, so maybe the pricing differences are more significant for bigger fish than me.

I'd guess they raised their prices when they realized they were worth it, compared to their competition.

Heh. I actually looked into it further. If you notice, they don't claim 'lifetime' on the 'pay-and-forget' - It is only 6 years for those too.

I did misread the pricing I suppose and the comments on the forums, but the pro did jump quite a bit. Now that ScreenConnect's (ConnectWise Control)'s Standard plan includes unlimited agents, 3 sessions per tech, remote command-line, and a bunch of other RMM-esque tools that I feel would match Kabuto, I might go that way.

Thanks. I am on the Lite plan. Looks like it went up about $13USD or so since I purchased it back in November. Still worth it with the improvements they have made.
