Acer Aspire 6930 LCD Screen Replacement

Acer Aspire 6930 has a Samsung LTN160AT01 16" LCD Screen. Apparently these are no longer produced and have been updated to a Samsung
LTN160AT06 which is LED back lit rather than TFFL. They are selling these screens with an LED to LCD Converter cable which bypasses the inverter. Has anyone had any experience replacing one of these. I have been messing with it for a few days and am unable to get it to work. Also I have not been able to contact anyone from the company that I bought the replacement screen from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like there are plenty of screens with that model number of LTN160AT01 on ebay, maybe one of them is LCD rather than LED.

I have already ordered one of these replacement screens and have been unable to get itworking. I was hoping to hear from someone who has experience with this type of screen replacement, but I do appreciate you trying to help!

Sorry I can't be more help, I haven't come accross this scenario yet. I am sure all of TN would be interested to hear how you resolve this. Hopfully someone else will have had experience with this issue.

I've installed one of these. It worked fine.
The adapter cable I had required me to remove the inverter and plug the cable into the center pins on the plug (leaving the two pins on the outer edge unused).
What problems are you having with it, specifically?

Thanks for the help everyone, it turns out that the customer did not tell me that this laptop had other issues besides the cracked lcd screen. Ended up relacing the motherboard, installed the new LED screen with the converter cable as per 14049752, working like a charm!!!!
