    I had one a while ago that had a similar problem and it was caused by interference from a power supply I had fitted! Changed the psu, end of problem.

    That's why I only cover a 15 mile radius of my house. I can get to any call in 25 minutes max. I don't think I could fully support a larger area and do a good job.

    I think a quick fix would be to create a new profile as suggested and transfer your data. I'm sure that will work.

    I would have thought it would activate. I did a reinstall of Windows 8.1 from restore disks a couple of days ago to a Lenovo and it activated fine.
