Why Does Nobody Answer Their Phone Anymore?

Send them a text. I do it all the time.

I do everything in my power to AVOID texts. No legitimate business owner has the time to d*ck around on a tiny little phone screen, painstakingly typing out messages to convey a thought that takes an hour via text, but would otherwise take 30 seconds by phone.

I have customers who love the fact they can text me and I'll text them back.

I always ask customers how they preferred to be contacted.

Phone email or text.

No complaints about texting here. In fact I think it's preferred.
Although I do ask clients if they wouldn't mind turning off that annoying "sent from blah blah..." signature! ;);););););)

Most of my customers don't answer their phones or listen to their voicemail. Usually i will call someone, no answer, so i leave a message explaining where im calling from and its about the repair of their device. As soon as i hang up they phone back without listening to the voicemail and ask who i am.

Its quite frustrating!

That's what I want to avoid. I don't have time texting back and forth for hours for nothing. It already feels like a time waster messaging back and forth on Yelp, Facebook, or whatever stupid service. The percentage of people who actually leave a phone number on Thumbtack is mindbogglingly low, so you end up messaging back and forth on crap that could be answered quickly over the phone. I think their leads are fake. May just end up emailing for people who don't answer their phones but they probably don't check their emails either.
