Which laptop do you use for work?

I just had a new Samsung RV series and the performance of it is really good by now. Also its a High definition one and is displaying videos with a very good quality.

Wow, I'm surprised with all the netbook responses. I know they're nice and portable, but I find it hard to work with the small keyboards and screens, plus most I've tried feel a bit flimsy.

I use my trusty Lenovo Thinkpad T410. It's just the right mix of portability and power for me, and I get about 5 hours out of the upgraded nine cell battery. Plus, it's sturdy; I don't worry about damaging it when I'm on the go.

Toshiba NB555D netbook...love it! Feels really sturdy, quality, and has fantastic speakers. Plus, it's powered by an AMD C50 chip, so the battery life is great while being able to play full 1080p HD content easily. Runs Windows 7 great too.

I can't go wrong with Dell, business laptops, specifically the Vostro Series. If you are just looking for a machine to troubleshoot, this is it!

I have an Acer Aspire 5100 a client gave me that i had to purchase a Mobo for and an Inverter all together $60.00. Works well and if it breaks it was quite cheap no big loss.

I see how a NetBook can be beneficial (lightweight and portable), but when I need to get down to business I need a laptop lol. I was using a Dell Vostro 1700. The thing was a monster in size, but a power house.

Using Acer Aspire 5740G. 15.6 screen, i3, 4gb ram.
I mainly do on-site and It's kinda pain in the ass to drag around. So I thought I'll try to find some cheap netbook.

For on-site work i use Fujitsu T4010 tablet - has 2 x batteries so excellent for all day working. Dual boot Linux/XP depending on what i need to do.

Main work-horse (but don't take it on-site) is a HP DV9574. Best laptop i've ever had. I know the AGP issue with the dv9 but not had it with this. I throw EVERYTHING at this one - does it all!

A banged-up, second hand Toshiba Satellite m115 s3094. Does the job well and not too scared to dent it.

In fact I'm praying it gets run over so the wife can let me get a samsung series 9.

I have an HP DV7-4179nr. This definitely would not be an ideal laptop for on-site work as it is big and heavy but the machine works like a charm!

I use a MacBook Pro and also use Parallels Desktop application to run Windows XP within. Pretty awesome.

Recently upgraded...

Until 2 months ago, I had a Lenovo Thinkpad T500 with a 500Gb hybrid drive. Installing all the tools needed to support clients was just mucking up Win7 too much and the machine was running slower. Decision came down to what was my time worth to rebuild it given that it was a couple years old.

I decided to get current and bought an HP ProBook 4530s with a CoreI5 and 8gb ram. It's a nice laptop for the price. Battery life could be better though.

I also carry a Lenovo Ideapad S10-3 that I upped the ram and hard drive on. I learned long ago, especially when I'm visiting a client that's more than 15 minutes away to carry 2 laptops.

The netbooks are good for holding when cramped into a tiny server room or in a data center with no place to sit and the 5 to 7 hour battery life helps extend work hours between to the two laptops to 10 hours if it's an emergency.

I also occasionally carry and iPad original and also always have my Galaxy Tab 7" android tablet. These are handy for mapping wireless signal strengths and locations as well as using my ScreenConnect remote support tools and LogMeIn Ignition.
