What gadget are you treating yourself for Christmas?

I didnt really buy anything geeky for myself for christmas. But I did pickup a snow blower. Bought a troybilt model with electric start. Does a good job. Instead of the metal fins to push the snow its got the rubber type and does a great job.

However, This spring I will be replacing the stereo system in my buick. The stock system has decided I no longer need front speakers.:(

JVC DVD header
400 watt amp
4 speakers
Possibly a subwoofer in the trunk :)

But I have to wait until after christmas.

I didn't really get anything remarkable for myself, but I was able to squidge around the budget a little bit at work and now I'm sporting a new Asus TaiChi. Gotta say, Windows 8 really excels in a tablet, and this dual-screen form factor is pretty dang sweet.

Really looking forward to some down time with the kids over the xmas holidays :)

The idea later on is to whack linux on it and play with it as a media centre PC with XBMC. For now though, its just for gaming.

A new 55" flat screen inc 3d, and a vu+ duo2 satellite receiver to feed it.

Oh, and an Xbox One

Wow, the wife was really impressed with me. I didn't know she knew such words.

Did someone beat me earlier in this thread ?
Damn, I missed it.
Try harder. Oh yes please.

Nice! Never be embarrased about ukuleles, my friend. :) My wife loves her Kala KA-C (same line, but traditional four-string and concert size). It's a great value with a nice sound. I noodle around on it sometimes.

As for me, my mother-in-law didn't know what to get my wife and I, so we asked for for this:

I've never been particularly skilled at blade sharpening, so I'm looking forward to putting some edges on over the holidays.

Codegreen,

Good choice. I have one and love it!

Bought my wife the iPad Air so she got the big present this year. I wanted the PS4 but finding it has been a real pain and I Don't want to pay the inflated prices.

I think I will settle for the Apple TV or Chrome TV.

No computer or electronic stuff for me this year, I got everything.

This year I am expanding my wine and cider making so I can maybe eventually start up a little micro winery/cidery of my own. :p

i got a pebble watch for 90 dollars from bestbuy on a slickdeal.net deal.

I picked up a Pebble a couple of months ago. Pairing that up with a new Note 2 after my iPhone committed suicide (2hr bootup!?) makes for a nice combo. I'm surprised how many people have asked me about it.

I'm also going to teach myself to use Tasker and PebbleTasker to use the Pebble to control the phone.

Surprised, also, at this point, how little reference there's been to the Pebble on the forums. I might have been the first one on TN to have gotten one.

I use to watch The Transformers in the early '80s and my favorite was Optimus Prime. I'm getting a used one for Christmas :D It's gonna sit right on top of my test computer at home.. can't wait!
