I've just ordered myself a new Ipad Mini 64GB(wifi & 3G)to replace my Ipad 2 16GB. The Ipad 2 been great but I do struggle for space and I think the mini will better suit my needs including Sat/Nav. The Ipad 2 is nearly as big as my Smart Car I use it in. :D Price wise I got a good deal from JohnLewis at £299 for the 64GB version, I can probably get close to that for my old one on Ebay.

Since we've already swerved off into "not a gadget" land . . .

Embarrassingly not as macho as firearms and classic pickups, but a new ukulele to play while waiting for scans/installs/etc to complete.

A new shiny win 8 laptop. Did a w8 job recentley and faffed around like a noobie pizza tech. Not at all proffesional. The MS world has moved on. Time I did to.

Got my Nexus 5 for my birthday/xmas present a few days back! Came from a MyTouch 3G (aka magic, aka saphire) running Cyanogen 6. Yeah, huge upgrade, I'm in love!

upgrades/replacement parts for my old media center...taking her from 4GB of RAM to 8GB, switching out the 9800GT with something newer (havent decided yet), and replacing the MoBo and PSU.

The tuner card should still be good, and the HDD's are still good.

Well Christmas came a little early this year :D. I recently upgraded my smartphone (and carrier: Sprint to Verizon) from a 16 gig iPhone 4 S to a 32 gig (now 64 gig w/SD card) Galaxy Note 3. I must say it took me a good little while to get used to but I love the 5.7" screen and ridiculous (compared to my iPhone) battery life. I am still getting used to the Android OS and selection of apps as this is my first Android phone. I am really enjoying it so far.

Built a new data recovery bench machine - I3-3240 on an ASUS P8Z77-V with 8GB - Ready to accept my Deepspar DDI4 when I get it in January :D

Nice! Never be embarrased about ukuleles, my friend. :) My wife loves her Kala KA-C (same line, but traditional four-string and concert size). It's a great value with a nice sound. I noodle around on it sometimes.

As for me, my mother-in-law didn't know what to get my wife and I, so we asked for for this:

I've never been particularly skilled at blade sharpening, so I'm looking forward to putting some edges on over the holidays.

My Galaxy Nexus went nuts and starting bootlooping. No amount of flashing would fully recover it. Camera stopped focusing and the phone would randomly hard reset. Even flashing a fully locked stock image failed to resolve it. Obvious hardware problem so now I have a nice Moto X.

A new digital alarm clock. After waking up late two mornings this week already as my old one has developed a mind of its own. Really splashing out on myself!
Well after getting the wife that really expensive handbag, that's about all I can do for myself. :)

Not sure which one to buy though.
