Make sure to put some fair-use clause on that.
^ Yeah, this right here. Otherwise clients WILL take advantage of you. Below is what I use, feel free to use it.

During normal business hours only
We reserve the right to assess a fee accordingly if we feel that unlimited remote servicing is being abused.

Likewise if you have unlimited malware remediation:

It is up to you to decide the level of abuse you will tolerate. I have companies that have 2-3 machines and I give them 2 to 4 chances before I hit them for an invoice. Likewise, I have companies with 30-40 machines and I give them up to about 10 chances because of the monthly income I make off of them.
The incidents and discount only covers the asset that is being maintained.
This is why once you have a machine on managed services, you take note of the machine name. I don't know if O&O gives that info but I know Pulseway does. That way if you get a call &/or need to go onsite, you can pull up the machine name by hitting the Windows+Pause key combination and look at the computer name.

I would assume that BackBlaze would be offered in the UK.

While your plans seem good, the issue I see is the £50 / month for up to 5 computers. What will you do if a client has 1, 2 or 3? On a 2 plan like you have, I would think that have the 1st plan be £10 / month per computer up to 5. Then on the 2nd plan, £75 / month up to 10 computers.

Granted, this is ONLY if your using O&O. If you were using something like Pulseway where you are paying for it per machine, than obviously prices would be a bit higher like 1st plan £15 / month per computer up to 5 then on the 2nd plan, £100 / month up to 10 computers.

Also, you have to consider the cost you will be shelling out for the anti-virus. If you pay say £30 for AV per computer and have a client leave after 3 months, then you've not made any money. That's £150 for 5 computers so you charge £150 for the 3 month term. See what I mean?

Very little. Reason is, hardly anyone uses it. You want help and a boost with your SEO? Use Facebook and create a business page.

Sorry got bit confused on the pricing structure for the plans, if the customer has 1, 2 or 3 computers, they would be on the first plan of £50 per month. Sorry if being stupid.

I think I am going to use O&O as does seem really good so far as got it on my own computer, I am going to add a laptop we have in the house tomorrow and see how well it monitors that as well.

Yeah I see and get what you mean about the AV. Which is the best AV to sell/use. I know some other tech guys sell/use bullguard

Regarding Google reviews and SEO. I won't bother integrating it if it does not have much of a positive effect on SEO. I have got the Facebook business page set up.

Unlimited remote support?
Make sure to put some fair-use clause on that. I don't do business support. I do some software development as a consultant, so this really isn't my area of expertise.

I would personally go this route:
  • 10% or 20% off on in-store or on-site maintenance
  • 3 incidents or 5 incidents
  • free support on any managed service provided by you (backup, antivirus, etc.) as long as there aren't any evidence of tampering

The incidents and discount only covers the asset that is being maintained.

Ahh ok so rather than unlimited remote support sessions. Would it be better to limit it to say 10 remote support sessions?

Just make sure you charge them those 50 pounds for each computer being maintained. I know other nibblers say they either cover all the equipment, or none of it. Preferable not to mix and match. And you need to keep a different tier for servers.

Yes. Or say 10 remote support sessions on the 50 pound tier, and unlimited (with fair use policy) on the 100 pound tier.

Ahh ok so I could put £50 per month per computer and then still keep in the list Up to 5 computers and then on the second plan £100 per month per computer and have up to 15 computers or I might increase it to 20 computers

Have you or anyone got a example of a fair usage policy I could use please?

The more computers they bring in the more likely you are to give them a package deal. :)

I know you said you wanted to keep things simple and stick with small businesses. I wouldn't set an arbitrary number in the pricing table or on the page. If you feel a company is too large for you, or you are uncomfortable maintaining their enterprise systems, servers, networks and such... just be honest about it. Better yet. Refer them to someone else. They might just send small customers right your way.

I know Yosebas84 posted a copy of his contracts in another thread: https://ufile.io/jnldu
It's in Spanish, but Google Translate should fix that right up for you.

YourPCMD's website: https://yourpcmd.net/services.php
Also has the ToS at the bottom of the page.

Legal pages are generally best handled by the professionals: a lawyer. But the other sites should get you started. Just remember that laws differ from state to state and country to country.

I was thinking that if I do get something in that I feel I can't manage or handle, I would tell them on the phone as would be better than taking it on and then not being able to handle and do the work.

Thank you for the link, I'll translate it and have a look
