We have a new client that currently has their main office and 1 satellite office. Right now they have all home grade equipment, giving us the opportunity to redesign their network. They plan on opening another 2-4 satellite offices within the next year or so.
We're looking for a VPN solution to tunnel each office as they expand. I'm familiar with Untangle and IPSec VPN, however I haven't played with OpenVPN or SSL VPN much. It looks like setting up multple site-to-site tunnels is possible - the main office would be the "server" and each satellite office would be considered a "client". We plan on using all Untangle devices across each location.
Internet speeds at each location should be suitable. Main office has a 50/10 pipe from Comcast...still working out details for the satellite offices. Around 14 computers now, will expand to 20-30 in the future. Large data transfers are not expected to happen over the tunnels, just basic file sharing and printing. Possibly 1 program (HomeTech - they're a remodeling company) will access data over the VPN, but the data size is small.
Anyone have something similar setup? How well does it hold up? We plan on using the Untangle u150 or similar NexGen device for the main office and the u10 or similar for each satellite office.
