Toshiba DVD Issue

Had a customer with an Issue within windows 10 - DVD would not recognize on laptop "Toshiba Sat L850"

Found this solution, may help others

Issue

After upgrading to Windows 8 my CD/DVD optical drive does not work or is not recognized anymore.

Resolution

Uninstall the Toshiba programs:

• TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator
• TOSHIBA Disc Creator

Then restart system

Does reinstalling the software reinstate the issue? We're the upper/lower filters fine in the registry? That's usually my first look when a DVD drive isn't being recognized and I wonder if removing the software changed those settings.

No already well aware of filters, were not within reg key, software issue and Win10.
Didn't re-install software as is a bug via Toshiba - waiting for patch.
