Meaning those are impossible prices. Thus meaning they are illegal copies. Besides the legitamacy of that website is questionable as well. But if you want to part take is software piracy and lose the trust of your customers then go right ahead.
You seem to be avoiding the rest of the communities advice. There are thousands of websites like this offering "Windows for only $20.00, legal" or "Photoshop CS4 $49.99 + Shipping, legal!"
I would never trust that website based not only on their pricing but also on their websites quality. I'm not bashing/flaming you, but you really want to believe what isn't true. These guys are not legit.
Here is a snippet from the WHOIS information on that domain.
So, what do we see wrong here?
- It is owned by a UK Individual, not a company. Microsoft would never sell in bulk to an individual like that
- It is only a 5 month old website. It seems this guy just got in business! Or he keeps getting a new domain everytime he gets caught
- It is hosted on nearlyfreespeech.net, a webhost that is commonly used by pirates due to their "Penny prices webhosting"
I'm also writing a letter to the registrar Tense Internet Ltd. as this website needs to be investigated for fraud as well as a background check on "Mr. Alphie Benson" is in check. I'm also writing a letter to Microsoft to let them know about this little pirate, they don't take kindly to lost profit and I don't take kindly to pirates either especially the ones who profit off of pirated works. Maybe I should write a letter to mr. Alphie Benson, but I doubt that's his real address.
OH, and I also forgot to add that they or should I say "this guy" is not a Microsoft Authorized Reseller and didn't even make an attempt to make it look that way.
