Thoughts about my Website?

oh my, oh my, where to start?
1. .info domain is intended for informative sites. You can get more with .com
2. Your website is not consistent in colors, layout, fonts and organization
3. The text is difficult to read with the background that you selected
4. As a customer that see the bottom line "Create A Free Website With WebStarts.com", makes me wonder about your business because I'm not giving you my coffee maker to be fixed, I'm giving you my PC with sensitive data
5. "Protect yourself", it's a title better used in a Health website, how about protect your computer?
6.
7.
8.

From 1 - 10, what's your ranking?

No offense but take advantage of college and take some courses that help you like Business & Administration, Web Design, Marketing etc

But, right now I don't have the money and I have other priorities like school, so I can't spend hours upon hours trying to get it to be "just right". It's coming down to the point where I can't afford to spend anymore time trying to make it better.

I appreciate the feedback.

You said it, this might not be the time. All those ideas that you have are great but you need foundations (which is what you are learning). I believe that businesses have only one shot: in the first 2 years you either make it or you fail. What's in between? P-L-A-N-N-I-G. For instance, if you planned your business, your shouldn't waste $48 of hosting and $10 of domain. It's like writing an essay in college, you don't submit the first draft, correct? you brain-storm, then come up with ideas, organization etc... you know the story.

Set long and short term goals. Write down those ideas, develop them and without noticing your business will grow as pop-corn when you legally establish it. Remember "what you do it life, echos in eternity", in other words, be aware of your reputation because you don't want customers recognizing Andy's PC Fix as a pizza tech.

Good luck kid ;)

I hate trying to design a Website lol :o

1. I am going to change my URL to > www (dot ) andys pc fix (dot) com
2. I am working on changing the backgrounds on my other pages so that they're of a lighter color.
3. Ughhh
4. I paid $48 for a years worth of hosting from that site. Remove The WebStarts Banner From Your Website = $40 extra dollars = I'm not paying that kind of money to remove a little text banner. That's such a rip off.
5. I changed it to Protect Your PC... my page title's have a word limit

- Part of my curriculum requires me to take a Website Administration class so hopefully that'll help A LOT.

Bottom line is I just need a >decent< Website to give myself an online presence. It doesn't have to be great. If I were to do well with my business and make good money and if I was to do it for a living then I would put more money and effort into it. But, right now I don't have the money and I have other priorities like school, so I can't spend hours upon hours trying to get it to be "just right". It's coming down to the point where I can't afford to spend anymore time trying to make it better.

I appreciate the feedback.

My concearns are the same as has been said previously. However, about the text banner at the bottom. You said it's an extra $40 to take it off. Can you change the color of it? If so, make it the same color as the background and wave bye bye. Technically it is still there in the code, just can't see it. :D

It rly isn't a "story". I'm letting the customer know what kind of experience I have in the computer field. Idk, you're the only person to say that about it so maybe that's not what the majority of people would think...

I don't see how you can make any money by fixing TVs? A person can go buy a brand new one from Walmart for a relatively cheap price. Unless you don't charge much for your service and work on higher end TVs that aren't cheap to replace?

I have to agree with not having your story about being a student. It does not build confidence.

BTW... I Don't do TV Repair my self but I can tell you that it is a huge market. People don't expect to replace their TV after 3 or 4 years.... They expect it to last 6 to 10 years or longer.

As a side note..... Is you teacher an active member of the computer services and repair industry? It does not sound like it so.... You may want to consider what advice carries the most experience. It is easy for someone to say that computer reapir will go away but this is a service business and service businesses rarely go away. Sure the industry will transform but those that adapt will always have a market.

A Perfect example.... bulletin board systems in the early and mid 90's nolonger exist but web hostig does. This was a transformation.....
