I've deployed online backup and briefcase from livedrive to one of my clients. I

I'm looking for a new sync tool to sync two folders. so the briefcase is the same as my documents.

I have test a few sync tools but can't find any I like.

I have tried

GoodSync
SyncTools
Plus a few more I forget

Can anyone reccomend a solution?

I was thinking maybe Rsync or RoboCopy but unsure on them as i've never used them before.

So you have tested some sync software, but did not like any of them.
What was it that you didn't like?

Couldn't you just remap the my documents library to the location of the briefcase folder? That would be the simplest solution.

The interface and how it worked. I need something powerful but simple enought for someone who has never used it before can run it if needed. I like to use KISS when deploying software/hardware.

I've personally been using SugarSync for years and it is just outstanding. I really can't say enough good about it.

I've put hundreds of clients onto it.

I'd look at that and Bittorrent Sync - this is also very, very cool and free.

I use SyncBack Free as someone else mentioned. I really like another free tool called "CopyTo Synchronizer". You can create a job and manage inclusions/exclusions, etc. and save a job file to the desktop. A user can simply double-click the job file to run on demand or it can be added as a task. Offers differential backup or sync.

Both of these are simlilar, but the latter has a very simple and minimal interface.

XXCopy is command-line based and is quick and powerful for syncing, if you don't need a GUI. A simple batch file with the folders and switches makes for simple automation. Free for personal use, otherwise you must license the PRO version. Free version doesn't allow network transfers, otherwise they are identical.

Another vote for bittorrent sync! It just works and love the sync app on my iPhone and iPad that also automatically syncs photos you take on the devices.

I've kinda wanted to implement this feature but have been a little hesitant... can you give more detail on how that auto-backup works for your iDevices?
Thanks!
