Doing a routine hd replacement and used one of my win 8.1 images to restore windows, then the fun started, can't get audio installed no way. Its the IDT audio driver, I keep getting "The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted." message, I tried a win 7 driver, tried compatibility mode, nothing works, ideas? grrrrrr
finally solved it by doing a in place repair install, which installed the windows audio driver which is fine by me!
