I ran into a weird issue with a client where the sleep option was missing from the start menu. I checked the usual places like Control Panel\Power Settings and sleep was missing there as well. I also noticed that the drop down boxes for times were un-populated for both the on battery and plugged in options. The fix was downloading the correct video driver. The video adapter in Device Manger was listed correctly but had error 43 "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems" I uninstalled the adapter and re-installed using SDIO and the problems were resolved.

Interesting. This was on an HP 840 G5 with Intel 620 graphics. I wonder if it's on a specific make/model.

I just had a laptop in with Intel 620 graphics that got all screwed up after updating to 1803. I simply downloaded the older driver from HP's website and used the Group Policy Editor to turn off driver updates. Thankfully it was Windows 10 Professional so I could do that, as Windows 10 seems to be ignoring the normal setting to disable driver updates since 1709.

The latest Intel 620 graphics driver from Windows Update is botched. If you have this graphics chipset, then you're screwed unless you've got Windows 10 Professional. Supposedly you can also disable automatic driver updates using the registry if you have Windows 10 Home, but it sounds kinda sketchy to me.
