Anyone got any good value suggestions for backing up SBS 2003. It needs to create images for full system restoration as well as file level and needs to support dynamic disks with s/w mirrors.

O&O is supposed to do this but testing it out, it does not seem to be able to mount an image created from a dynamic mirror set.

Not near my pc for links.

But what about a RDX Drive, most come with management software so this would control the backups

Yes but SBS has some somewhat specific requirements if only doing file backup to cover the AD, Exchange, system state etc and it's hard to know which RDX drive software covers what. It might be ideal but I just don't know.

Handy Backup Server is a perfect solution for SBS backup. It performs client-server backup scheme, which allows you take advantage of completely automated centralized backup.

That looks interesting. I don't need the server edition but the Full one, which is a lot cheaper, appears to cover all I need.

Thing is, SBS 2003's own backup SHOULD cover it but on their server it's just not reliable and misses out files and folders and who knows what else.

You said that the software you were trying to use wasn't mounting the raid.....

Did you slip the raid controller software into the bootable cd/dvd?

I didn't actually say it was RAID, it's a dynamic mirror so no controller required, nor any bootable cd either.
