SAGE 50 2017 Crashes

New W7 Pro, fresh install, ESET A/V, SAGE 50 2017 (Canadian Edition, but not the issue, I think)....

On install, the system works 100%. I can launch, I can open sample files, I can open real company files... no problem.

Then I activate the product (it activates)... and that's it. No more SAGE 50.

I have reproduced the error (on the same machine) by fully uninstalling SAGE, the ODBC drivers, C++ 2015, and then going through a clean install again. Works great, so long as I don't activate it.

I am clueless on this one (and it is day 2).

Any thoughts?

All are greatly appreciated.

OK - apparently there is a direct conflict with 2017.1 and Windows 7. SAGE pulled it off their website last night.
