Remote Access Control "Freeware"

Blain, the way I read the site, it is for a lifetime but only includes 1-year of support. Renewing your support is the same amount for another year.

The "Support" is for life on the freeware version because it never expires :)

The Retail version expires after 1 year, thats why support will only be for 1 year (on the retail version)

Some info I would like to explain first...
Q) Why is this program splitted into 2 versions?
A)Corporate Companies are also using this for their business and benifit a great deal out of this program. I myself have a VERY small "1-man business" in South Africa and was actually thinking of getting another job (most of you will know or have heard about circumstances here in South Africa), so i feel there need to be a charge for RAC to Corporate Businesses.

Q) Why is the 1 port-version Donationware?
A) First off, to HOST this program you need space and bandwidth which cost money. The 1-port version will ALWAYS be free/donationware as i know there are techies out there also struggling to survive, thats why i made it to never expire... :)

So am I correct that all this basicly is a copy of the uvnc 1 click option, But you have written a program to build the customer file locally without using the generator on the net? Or am i missing something? It is not my intent to sound rude ,but arent you just chargeing for something that can be obtained free? with all the info and links posted in other areas of this forum. Or am I way off ? Can you please explain how this differs ? I do see your program may make it easier for some to compile the customer file Or is that what you are selling here ? Like I said before it is in no way my intent to sound rude. just seeking to understand any info would be great thanks

Not really. This is a script i wrote making it easier for the UVNC guys...Its basically a "Shell" for UVNC. With UVNC you cant do "remote boots WITH re-connections", but with this one you can...also it has a automatic-reconnection if your connection fails. It also has a Shortcuts Made Easy program called "The Wizard" compiled within to make it easier for techies when working on Vista or Win7...to get to certain commands. ie "control userpasswords2" (dunno if you have used this command before), is difficult to locate in Vista and Win7...this program has that command embedded ;)
Btw, its a free program and no monies are needed. I compiled the 25+ port version because Corporate ppl are using this and make big bucks out of it., so i can't see why i cant charge for my time and effort to compile something that they (corporate companies) use. Also to host this "Shell/Plugin" cost money for bandwidth etc...hope you understand? :)

Far as i know, the closest to this program is TeamViewer...Its way more advanced than this proggie, but do yourself a favor and go check out their prices (i think...and I'm talking under correction here, they have a limit on time for using their product as freeware)...and judge for yourself....I wrote this shell for techs who need to clean PC's of viruses ...basicly trying to make their jobs easier :D

Here is some more INFO 4 u http://www.mariuscomputers.co.za/features.html

Geez....Now i sound like a SPAMMER!!! lolol...sorry Admin :D:D

Just look at helpdeskvnc or oneclick. Both also seem quite similar to UVNC SC, so you are basically paying for the added features (there may be other differences that I'm not aware of :o). imho, RAC has an advantage since, in addition to locally and dynamically building the customer file, you also get another major addition: re-boot with re-connection and port monitoring for disconnections - without the expense of those other programs.

It's in my toolbox. Thanks Marius, I'll upgrade to commercial when my remote support demand grows!

Thx for you reply on RAC...In regarding to the re-boot section...it can reboot in both "safe" AND "normal" mode..The other feature is, on the Customer's side, there is an "inbuilt-utility" called WIZARD...I wrote it specially 4 techs so they can manage Vista and Win7 better...Dunno how well you know your commands, but you'll notice in win7 there is NO "control userpasswords2" at the RUN box...this has also been added in Wizard...Try it out, you might just get "addicted" ;)

There isn't? I have that and have since 2000...

Yeah, seen it and like it. It Would be GREAT if you added the ability to add other utilities to the client file build. Tried adding another file to the 'client' folder, but it's not included when I build it then extract helpdesk.exe. Is this possible in a future version?

Thinking that this would make for better competition of RAC against advantig one click:

"Build-Your-Own ToolBox lets you include an unlimited number of tools, files or programs by dragging and dropping them into a folder in the customer module creator folder in addition to the Tools Website and 10 custom tool commands."

yup, the GUI and functionality isn't 100% smooth yet, but it does work. Great start.

BTW, saw a testimonial section on your site, I'd be happy to provide one for you after all this hard work and time you put into such an outstanding tool, just hit me up w/ a PM...
