Recommendations for IDE/ SATA to USB adapter?

I've been using StarTech's IDE/SATA to USB adapters, and even though they work well (and I treat them very well), I've gone through three in the last two years.

Time to buy another one for backup, and I need something a bit more reliable.

Any recommendations from techs who use theirs extensively?

I use this one quite a bit but I have only had it for about 4 months. However, so far so good. It seems fairly durable and I do baby it in the hopes of it lasting.

I use Sabrent USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE Adapter. It is really slick and works everytime.

Sorry to join the party late but...

I've been using the Vantec for 4 years now, still going strong. I have a spare Vantec still in the box just begging to be used (sorry you're the spare buddy!).

Sabrent and Vantec are just rebadged versions of the same adapter. It's also sold under a handful of other brands like Cables Unlimited.

With that said, I have no personal experience with any of these, but the Apricot seems to have very good reviews, and it seems to be durable.
