I've been using StarTech's IDE/SATA to USB adapters, and even though they work well (and I treat them very well), I've gone through three in the last two years.

Time to buy another one for backup, and I need something a bit more reliable.

Any recommendations from techs who use theirs extensively?

I use this one quite a bit but I have only had it for about 4 months. However, so far so good. It seems fairly durable and I do baby it in the hopes of it lasting.

I use Sabrent USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE Adapter. It is really slick and works everytime.

Thanks for the responses.

Two votes for Sabrent and two votes for Vantec. Any tie breakers?

Sorry to join the party late but...

I've been using the Vantec for 4 years now, still going strong. I have a spare Vantec still in the box just begging to be used (sorry you're the spare buddy!:p).
