Random BSOD's

I think Iptech is right, 7 pages of this is making it very difficult to pick up on or follow now as you need to read the lot to give advice. It might be worth starting another thread with an opening thread with a summary of what's been done. You say you've tried to re-install. I had a problem with a re-install the other day with blue screens etc so I slaved the drive, ran some hardware tests(OK) then formatted the drive. Fresh install, no problem, even try a new drive. Try that first and go from there as you are at the stage you are. If you get problems then start fault finding from there. Always try to work with a known goodie. :)

If you have already tried it then I apologise but can' be arsed to read it all. :o

Drive has been wiped fresh...Brand new drive was tried...new ram tried, dry boot with just one drive and ram...all was done prior to original post...thats what lead me to mobo issue

And did you have windows 7 on that system when it was working as this could be a computability issue start a new thread format the drive re do the partition and re install

Why would you say i dont have a clue...what would you have done different that i havent already done?
I wouldn't have spent hours trying to repair a $50 mainboard for a start, whoever it belonged to.
Even by your own unfeasably low rates, that board is only worth a couple hours of labour, it simply isn't worth spending the time you already have on it.

I also wouldn't undercut established techs on price to steal their business and then expect them to help me for free to fix my basic computer repair problems. :(

You have a faulty mainboard, bin it and don't waste any more time on it - it's not worth it!

I was almost positive the board was shot when i first posted this...It is not for a customer as it would have just been replaced under warranty right away...We are all free to charge our own rates and each area has different rates that are charged...My competitors charge $40 flat rate for a pickup and repair service (they will pick up your computer & repair it for $40 and do a free tune-up) so i would say my rates are not unbelievably low for my area, i'm not undercutting, im being competitive...The original post was in regards to a good motherboard testing utility and blew up into this...errors were not important as the mobo was already singled out to be the issue...

so if you was almost positive the board was shot why did you spend so much time repairing o/s then N&p the system that is is the odd bit ass you had fixed your first faults and then you N&P the hdd ?????? don't figer

Following suggestions from technibble elites i guess...they decided to post suggestions so i followed them to no avail...end result is the same as beginning result...but we all participated in the game of tech...and if you guys thought it was mobo then y were the suggestions made?

its troubleshooting mate...like going through all the steps when you suspect a virus even though you know the cause is a virus...you still run scans, check startup, processes, registry, etc. But we still troubleshoot the issue instead of backup format restore

exactly so why when after following steps to repair and you told the error code you give is a problem with the Registry you go and n&p don't figer you don't figer you are not constant I will help any one out but why the bullsh*t and bravado.

With the greatest of respect, the suggestions made by others were in good faith and were trying to help you both from a technical and commercial perspective. 'fixitdaz' was particularly patient and tenacious in his assistance to you but you have not yet shown the good grace to thank him for his help.

In this instance I think the main problem is with the 'tech' & business manager actually in front of the computer, not with the advice given by others. Don't forget those who you label "technibble elites" are time-served technicians and business owners who have worked hard over many years to develop their skills and businesses and so will have a very good understanding as to what their services are worth in a highly-competitive marketplace. Even if you were to be charged half of your chosen hourly rate for the advice you've been given freely here, this job would not have been worth the time put into it. Time-investment aside, I'm sure you have learned something from this episode, not least that buying cheap kit is almost always false economy. If low-grade stock is all you can afford to run your business on, then maybe you need to revisit your business plan.

I have mentioned several times that i do appreciate the insight and in no way did i say elites in a sarcastic way...I am very respectful and thankful for the technibble website and the members of the forums as they just like myself have put many years into the industry...And as stated before i do not purchase cheap kits for my customers nor myself...the components (As mentioned) were spares that had been lying around my shop either from old customer machines or previous machines of mine...Again i do thank everyone for the assistance and would just like to be able to post in the forums without getting hammered about "How my business (which has been running for 5 years now) will fail because i don't charge enough, or how i have no idea what im doing (multiple certifications and over 10 years experience in the IT field) we are all technicians with various levels of expertise and strengths and weaknesses which is y this website is here...Thank you again very much and i hope my next post will be less insults and more positive (on both ends)

(which has been running for 5 years now)
...And still no dedicated URL for your website?
(multiple certifications and over 10 years experience in the IT field)
Means nothing, IT people, or systems analysts, know more about business and less about how computer systems work. You'll get nowhere trying to convince people here that certifications speak to your knowledge and skill.

My comment about not properly diagnosing was directed at the people that chimed in with random things to try, or listed fixes that are ruled out by actions already taken. When you here hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.

it is not certifications that speak for service or skill, its experience and we all have that...as i mentioned we each have our strengths and weaknesses...I did not do a dedicated website because i was running business out of home so just used the http://web.me.com/tech24 website...Wanted to wait until i opened a shop and now i am in the process of having a dedicated website just finished with the logo design and such
