Please help me choose my logo...Critique Please.

Well here it is, the "new and improved" logo, it is attached below.

After viewing it in the browser it seems the colors look a bit rough. I have
no idea why it is doing that. I saved it in a .jpg. Is there another file format
I should be using?

Let me know what you all think.

Thanks for the input about quality. I was figuring that a.gif or or a .png
would be better for quality. The .jpg looks a bit rough and blotchy.

OK, I believe that I am done with the logo. I "cleaned" it up bu using a .png
as suggested. The new logo is now in my signature.

I was heavily leaning toward #3, with a different font, as well. But, I
decided to cleanup the existing logo instead.

The winner (new logo) is now in my signature. basically, its the same
with a different font, and a slightly brighter blue.
