Pretty sharp. I like it, a lot.Well- I'm not anywhere near building mine yet, but here we go. (P.S. I posted this in another topic already)

It is divided into three sections, Base, Counter top and Wall.
Base
- Left side will probably become a half size server rack instead of a cabinet.
- Right side will become a set of 4 draws instead of a cabinet as well.
- Hollow cavity hold up the carousel or the "Lazy Moe's" and also acts as a storage unit for my main computer, printer, and other hardware- will have subdivisions of course so they don't stack on top of eachother.
Counter top
- A 3 or 4 tier cabinet that will store all my tools, spare parts and other stuff.
- Underneath the cabinet I will probably put a small cavity for paper or keyboard storage.
- The counter top (as well as the Lazy Moe and Shelf) have a MDF base with a textured 1/4"thick rubber mat for antistatic properties.
- The shelf will be home to laptops and desktops that I will be working on.
- Underneath the shelf will be some more storage cavities.
- Lazy Moe is a carousel used for laptop dis-assembly and I would imagine is a very unique feature not seen in anyone's work benches.
Wall
- The wall will go as high as the cabinet for aesthetic purposes.
- On the top of the wall we will have a fan, stereo speakers and a lamp (shown in the picture) for those night time jobs.
- On the wall is 3 1920x1200 monitors mounted on Tilt/Swivel/Swing VESA mounts and are positioned just high enough that I can fit any laptop 17" and under without blocking the view of the screens.
- Also, not shown is a couple of tool racks on the right side of the cabinet.
I will also be adding a rack for computers and laptops that are finished, or are waiting to be worked on in another unit which will store things like customer information, case information and of course the laptop/desktop itself.
Here are pics of my shop... it's in a little strip mall, about 1,000sq. ft. It has one big 'tech' room in the back and a display area up front. The display area is stocked now, these pics were taken right after I finished installing the floors, cabinets, etc. last Christmas.
The desks (and counter, etc) were purchased from a Sharper Image store that was closing (killer deal). I then added pull-out drawers, a top shelf for monitors, and KVM switch(es) etc. We do more service than retail, right now, but I wanted an area up front for drop-offs, retail sales, and possible future classes. Oh...and I also attached a pic of our service vehicle... the little Geek Van.
