I've stumbled across the website for a Tech guy in London who offers "24/7 Check Ups" as part of contract support. He says he has "special" software that "checks your computer every single day to make sure it is running well and has no problems with updating Anti-Virus and the operating system. We will know there is a problem before you do and can get it fixed before something worse happens."

I wondered if anyone knows of any Proactive Monitoring / reporting software as such? I've not come across a thing in my search!

Thanks for the quick response. I've used Spiceworks, I mean the situation is the guy is using some form of proactive monitoring software for off-site clients. I thought spiceworks had to be on the same network to work.

I'll check the others out though thanks.

Spiceworks does, but all of the others are designed for Managed Service Providers who are dealing with multiple clients at multiple sites. Another one to add to the list is GFI Max Remote Management.

thanks but zenith's works is in recovery management not proactive monitoring.
