"Optimizing Google Maps" and Adwords Express..

Whats up guys,

I called a local SEO company and I was told for $300/month hell optimize my google maps.. I looked it up and it doesnt look liek anything thats worth $300? I verified my listing alraedy, have my page 100% filled out etc.. The guy said something about adding my place to his directories etc..? Is this just signing me up for all business lisitng websites (free)?

Anyone know more about maps SEO? This guy is guaranteeing I will remake my money back each month AT LEAST.

I am not positive what he is offering, but it sounds scamish. You map location is based on your physical location. The only way to bring yourself up on the map list is to be located in the middle of town......which I have seen them do. I have seen business use literally the center of town as their address so they are #1.

Just do AdWords express and use someone else for SEO. This guy sounds like a butthole.

Im all for seo but companies that rip people off like that make me sick. one hour is all you need max and some positive reviews and your google places will beat the others guaranteed.

$300 is way too much. You can do this your self, just like smashedbotatos said use adwords express and you should be fine. As far as SEO is concerned you are looking pretty good for LONG ISLAND COMPUTER REPAIR. I would just change you link in your sig to say LONG ISLAND COMPUTER REPAIR and link to your url instead of your url and that will move you up quite a few spots in regular search. You might also want to create this url: http://www.computerbrainiacs.com/long-island-computer-repair on your website.

+1 at the page creating also make some backlinks to that. Anchoring your technibble backlink wont push you up a few places from one link but it will contribute.

Seriously though, they're ripping you off.

You can do the kml file generation in about 1/2 hour, 15 minutes of that is downloading and installing Google Earth. Not sure how good it is, as I've never heard of it before now!

Also in regards to adding to directories I seriously wouldnt be surprised if hes using those fiverr gigs to get your map added to a load of sites. DIY
